With all pump types, not just ours, avoid using rough bottle necks in glass or hard
plastic which do not have a smooth and flat sealing surface. It may be necessary to use a
gasket, but these are not always the complete solution.
When using pumps with a lock-down construction, avoid overfilling the bottles. If
fluid leaks into the pump through the vent holes it may be messy, or it may prevent the
pumps working properly. This too applies to pumps from all manufacturers, except for
airless pumps which do not vent.
Specify diptube length correctly. Using a depth gauge or similar device, measure
the depth of the bottle from the sealing surface at the top of the bottleneck, to the
inside of the bottle at the base. This is the diptube length we will work to, and it's
important to specify this correctly. It is not the same as the exposed length of diptube,
which will be correct only for one specific pump. If in any doubt, please provide a bottle sample.
Please, check the pump is suitable before committing to a particular type. We recommend
testing with product over an extended period if possible.
